Officer Wayne Anderson of the Boise Police Department responds to a disturbance call between siblings. At the scene, he finds a fellow officer who is making attempts to detain an agitated man. Officer Anderson assists in detaining the subject, and both officers struggle to get him in cuffs due to heavy resistance. Back up arrives, and the officers work together to safely wrap the male subject in special restraints that will prevent him from hurting himself or others. After speaking with the subject’s sister, Officer Anderson learns that the man smashed his sister’s toe when he was trying to force himself into her live-work space. In addition, he shattered a window with a fire extinguisher and harassed her coworkers. The officers provide hospital transport for the subject, where the man will be checked for any injuries, as well as given a mental health screening. The sister will not press any charges and is just relieved that no one was seriously injured.
