Officer Artis is dispatched to a call where an ex-husband is knocking on the front door of his ex-wifes house. The ex-husband has an order of protection against him and should not be there. Officer Artis arrives to find the ex-husband on the front porch with a plastic flower in hand, pleading with the female inside. Suspect is taken into custody for violating the order of protection and tells Officer Artis how they were swingers and how he practices “Wicca”.

I decided quickly that I was going to pursue a career in law enforcement. I applied to the Wichita Police Department and was fortunate enough to get hired on. |
| First Arrest | My first arrest was a DUI. being a rookie I would say DUI investigations are the most difficult as there is a lot of paper work. I was dispatched to a call where a male “accidentally” backed over his wife with his vehicle. The male was intoxicated and taken to jail. |
| Best part of the job | The best part about this job is having the option of pursuing other avenues within the departnment. Wether an officer enjoys traffic or drug interdiction there is an Avenue for every officer. |
| Hobbies | While I am off duty I enjoy working out. I have recently started bodybuilding and will soon enter my first competition. The gym is where I find my serenity.
